I don’t even know where to begin. Y’alls friendship is a treasure that I praise our God for. You two are some of the most God glorifying friends that I have, and you walk, lead, teach, joke, and speak with a joy that is undeniably contagious.

I could not be more thankful for you guys. And I could not be more thankful to have played a role in telling a story that is truly Kingdom-impacting.

I recorded your reactions to the film today and when I watched it back my heart melted. The first thing you guys did after the film ended was not say how great it was, or anything about the pace or colors — you fell into each other’s embrace and said “I love you”.

You reminded me of why I fell in love with telling stories.

I hope that thirty years from now, surrounded by your children - perhaps your grandchildren - you watch this film together for the hundredth time, or the thousandth, and still find yourselves reaching for each other. Much older, softer, more worn by time. And in that moment, you are carried back to the quiet simplicity of where it all began.
